Unilever Project Sunlight #Shareameal

*Disclosure: This post is brought to you by Unilever

Did you know that right here in America there are 16 million children struggling with hunger? If you combine the populations of Los Angeles, New York City, Philadelphia, and Chicago that is how many children are struggling with hunger! Hunger's youngest victims are usually invisible in the United States, but the reality is, hunger has no boundaries. No matter where a child is from- rural, urban, or suburban areas- 1 in 5 children are unaware of where their next meal will come from.

Here is a short documentary on childhood hunger.

Project Sunlight is a movement that is already happening. It is made up of a growing community of people who believe it is possible to build a world where everyone lives well and lives sustainably. We can only achieve this if you all work together.

How can you help? Here are 8 ways you can help in your community.

1. Host a dinner for a family in need.
2. Pack an extra lunch so your child can share with one that may not have lunch.
3. Host a community potluck.
4. Organize a food drive.
5. Volunteer at a food bank.
6. Organize a virtual food drive.
7. Donate to Feeding America.
8. Finish this sentence:

and tell us why you share a meal. Share it on social media to spread the word on childhood hunger in America.
